JOSIE DAVIS (EX-GRACE, YOUNG AND RESTLESS, 1996-97; EX-CAMILLE, BEVERLY HILLS, 90210, 1998-2000 ET AL)

Though Josie Davis rose to fame playing bookish Sarah on CHARLES IN CHARGE, these days, the former child star is barely recognizable. For one thing, Davis has gone from blonde to brunette. For another, the actress, who once played the "nerdy" little sister, is now a fullfledged leading woman.

After enjoying runs on Y&R and 90210, Davis went on to star in the shortlived TITANS in 2000. Over the next few years, the busy actress appeared in several movies, including In the Land of Merry Misfits and Carolina Moon, and guest-starred on a string of other prime-time TV shows, including CSI: MIAMI, GHOST WHISPERER and TWO AND A HALF MEN. This month, she stars in the movie The Trouble with Romance. "I was supposed to be one of the world's best mountaineers!" she reveals of her character. "I met some very, very funny people and they helped make the experience a fun one. But the role was challenging, both physically and emotionally. It took a toll."

With so much on her plate, Davis hasn't had much time to keep in touch with her former co-stars ("I bump into Joshua [Morrow, Nick, Y&R] and Sharon [Case, Sharon, Y&R] once in a blue moon"), but still has plenty of behind-the-scenes stories to share. "Eric Braeden [Victor, Y&R] did something funny once where he suavely tried to tap a plastic serving spoon against something to make an announcement and the spoon shattered and flew across the room," she chuckles. "Another time, the nice guy who played my boyfriend Tony [Nick Scotti], ate salsa and smoked a cigarette right before our first kissing scene ever. I think you could tell when you watched it [laughs]."

But even with her long resume, her CHARLES character remains popular. In fact, she was named "Favorite Child Star" at the EMA (Entertainment Merchants Association) Awards. "These days, people know they know me, but can't place me," she reports. "I usually have to answer 50 questions like, 'Did you go to high school with so-and-so?' But it was a great experience."
